DeMatha Catholic High School is one strong brotherhood shaped through Teamwork, Sacrifice, Integrity, Respect, and Faith. Through the affirming community of the DeMatha House Cup, students strive to be a fellowship of Faith-Filled Gentlemen and Scholars.

Through the House System students have the opportunity to serve something beyond themselves and, through positive competition, strengthen the important individual qualities of integrity, honesty and respect.  House membership extends the expectation that students are faith-filled Gentlemen and Scholars and that they are members of a community that is committed to being One DeMatha. 

The houses are named after legendary figures of DeMatha Catholic High School: Fr. Joseph "Lou" Amico (Amico House), Fr. Paul Donovan O.SS.T (Donovan House), John Moylan (Moylan House), Dr. Charles "Buck" Offutt (Offutt House), and Morgan Wootten (Wootten House).

Students are sorted into their houses during freshman orientation and participate in service, games, and activities throughout the year. At the end of each year, one house receives the House Cup. The House that performes the most service hours receives the Tim Strachan ’94 Cup, which is named for the late DeMatha alumnus who inspired so many people with his grace and determination following a devastating injury just prior to his senior year.
