Weekly Bulletin

Dear DeMatha Community,

On Monday, March 14 we will celebrate the feast of St. John de Matha. This wonderful school-wide event is usually held in December but we were forced to postpone it this year.

We will have about 50 guests on campus, we will give away the St. John de Matha Medal, and we will treat the students and guests to lunch. It is really important to spend time reflecting on how we got to be here as a school and in this, our 75th year, we are excited to gather.

We registered 3 positive tests this week from the 900 tested on Wednesday. We continue to contact trace.

This coming week is the last one of the 3rd quarter and I encourage people to redouble their efforts as tests and quizzes and essays come due. The end of the day on Friday, March 18 will be the beginning of Spring Break.

Lastly, many of us will gather to honor 5 faculty and staff members who have served 25 years at the school: Fr. James Day, President; Mr. Paul Davies, World Languages; Mr. Christopher Benedick, Science and Math; Mr. Kelly Lama, Math; and Mr. Jim Turk, Music. We are grateful for their many gifts and their remarkable service.

Pax,

Daniel J. McMahon, '76 Ph.D.

Principal
