Daily Mass:  The celebration of daily mass will take place at 7:45 AM in the chapel.  All are welcome to spend some time in prayer every day.

Saturday, February 23rd DeMatha will host the girls WCAC quarterfinalsThe locker rooms will be closed to ALL DeMatha athletes starting at 11:00.  If you have practice that day all of your gear must be out of the locker room by 11:00 AM.
Attention Juniors!  DeMatha is privileged to be a stop on the Jesuit Excellence Tour (JET), which is a traveling college fair of Jesuit Catholic colleges & universities from around the nation. The fair is during the school day this Tuesday, February 26th at 10:20 am in the Old Gym. All juniors are expected to attend. If you are not interested in any of the colleges in attendance, you can still use this as a learning opportunity and as practice for speaking to admissions representatives. Read the email from Mrs. Velasquez from 2/21 with tips to follow in preparation for the college fair.

Varsity Lacrosse Managers Needed:  Anyone interested in being a manager for Varsity Lacrosse, please see Ms. Wendy in the training room.  We are looking for 3 people.

SAT Prep Classes Are Filled:  Classes started Monday, February 11th and will meet on the third floor of St. John de Matha Hall starting at 3:00 PM.  Math SAT will meet on Monday and Wednesday with Mr. Hurst and Reading SAT will meet on Tuesday and Thursday with Mr. Smith.  Mrs. Carroll in the Counseling Center has applications for the class if you are interested.  See Mr. Smith or Mr. Hurst if you have questions.  The prep class will get students ready for the March 9th SAT.

Summer Apprenticeship Program Applications Are Now Open!  Do you know a student who is interested in STEM? The Army’s Educational Outreach Program (AEOP) offers several summer apprenticeship programs for high school and college students - all provide educational stipends while working with a mentor in a research lab.   Please do not hesitate.  Applications close on February 28th.  For High School Students:

·         SEAP is a high school program that matches students (ages vary) with scientists in a Department of Defense Lab.  For more information and to apply:  SEAP:  https://www.usaeop.com/program/seap/
