Summer Programs

DeMatha offers a variety of athletic camps and programs for students during the summer. Faculty members and coaches associated with DeMatha athletic teams sponsor summer programs for baseball, conditioning, hockey, basketball, soccer and lacrosse.

About this Camp: DeMatha Basketball Camp is
designed to give boys and girls, ages 7 to 16, the opportunity to learn Fundamentals of the game. Our facility is open daily from 8:15 am to 5:30 pm, with camp starting at 9:15 am and ending at 4:00 pm.


Session 1: June 18 - 22
Session 2: June 25 - 29
Session 3: July 2 - 6 (no camp on 4th)
Session 4: July 9 -13
Session 5: July 23 - July 27
Session 6: July 30 - August 3

About this Camp: This camp gives young football
players an opportunity to learn techniques and fundamentals from the DeMatha coaching staff! Working on drills with DeMatha players, listening to special guest speakers, and earning prizes through competition are just a few things that make this camp one you don’t want to miss!

Location: DeMatha Catholic High School: 4313 Madison St. Hyattsville, MD 20781 (Campers walk to Hyattsville Middle School for field events)

Dates (Week 1: July 9-13, Week 2: July 16-20)

  • 9am-3pm (Before & After care offered 8am until 6pm, additional $30/day)
  • $200 per player (Pre-Register)
  • $225 per player (Walk-Up Registration)
  • Varsity Stag Camp (6th-8th grade) Junior Stag Camp (3rd-5th grade)

What to Bring
All campers should come dressed in comfortable athletic wear and tennis or basketball shoes. Cleats are only to be worn when on the field.

Campers are responsible for their own belongings. The camp is not responsible for missing cell phones, Ipods , athletic equipment or other camper belongings.

About this camp: The DeMatha Soccer Academy's professional coaches will provide players with an opportunity to learn new skills in a fun camp environment. Each day will focus on new skills, small-sided games, and camp-wide games.
->For Boys and Girls Ages 6-14.

About This Camp: DeMatha Lacrosse is hosting a 3-day summer evening camp, led by Head Coach Scott Morrison. Former DM players, current college players and fellow coaches will lead the players through skill sessions, 1 on 1 instructions for all positions and level of players, as well as scrimmages. The mission is to improve each player's game, skills, fundamentals and to have FUN!

(For Ages 6 to 14)

Skills covered include:

-Fundamentals - Catching, throwing, ground balls

-Offense - Shooting, Dodging, team offense, riding

-Defense - 1 on 1, Checks, Team defense, sliding, clearing

-Specialties - Goalies, Face-Off, LSM

Location: Allen Pond Turf Field (3330 Northview Drive, Bowie, MD)

Costs: $135

Have you wanted to learn how to row? Do you want to feel what the guys in Boys in the Boat talked about? Here is your opportunity to learn how to row and feel the excitement of getting to move a boat together. This camp is only for adults who have never rowed before.

Here are the details:
When? - Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday from June 4th through June 22nd (total of 9 sessions)
What time? - 5:00pm-7:30pm
Where? - Bladensburg Waterfront Park ( 4601 Annapolis Rd, Bladensburg, MD 20710)
How much? - If you register by May 1st, the cost is $300. If you register between May 1st and May 15th, the cost is $350. If you register between May 15th and June 1st, the cost is $400. Checks should be made payable to DeMatha Crew and sent to Andrew Bright, 4313 Madison Street, Hyattsville, MD 20781.

All participants need to complete the Application as well as the camp Waiver. Once the forms and check is received, you will secure a spot and receive a confirmation via email. We only have spots for 24 adults so register early.
