Theatre Program
The DeMatha Theatre program performs two shows per year: a fall play and a spring musical.
Started by Fr. Paul Donovan, the DeMatha Players have been around for much of the school's history. Through many directors and a succession of talented actors and guest actresses from many different schools, the students of the DeMatha Players have successfully performed many different shows. Under the current direction of Mr. Keith Rafferty, the DeMatha Players are an extra-curricular program that performs two shows during the school year: a play in the fall and a musical in the spring. Students participate in all parts of the theater process, as actors, designers, builders, run crew, audio/video technicians, marketing, and recruiters for actresses from other schools.
In Fall 2025, DeMatha performed its first student-written production, The Amazing Atlas by Alasdair Brown '26 & Dino Scaletti '26.
