Director of Major Gifts and Planned Giving
DeMatha Catholic High School is a college preparatory institution in Hyattsville, Maryland dedicated to educating young men in the Trinitarian tradition since 1946.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Advancement, the Director of Major Gifts and Planned Giving will manage a portfolio of major/planned gift prospects and develop strategies for identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors.
The Director will move prospects through the cultivation cycle toward a gift and will work with the Advancement Office to establish the recognition and stewardship of individual donors.
The Director will prepare collateral materials with emphasis on both major gifts and planned giving including correspondence, solicitation materials, acknowledgments and regular communications as part of the stewardship process.
Bachelor’s degree and three to five years of progressive fund-raising experience preferred.
The Director of Major Gifts and Planned Giving must be a self-starter, creative, energetic and possess effective written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills.
The Director must be a persuasive advocate with presentation skills that capture the mission and philosophy of DeMatha Catholic High School.
The Director must be able to work collaboratively as part of the Advancement team and with all DeMatha’s internal and external constituents.
Occasional travel and some evening and weekend work required. Some preference will be given to candidates with a tangible tie to DeMatha Catholic High School such as an alumnus or relative of an alumnus.
