Dear DeMatha Families, Alumni, and Friends,

On September 9, 2026, we officially begin a yearlong celebration of 80 years of DeMatha Catholic High School with our Mass of the Holy Spirit and Opening School Mass, presided over by the Most Reverend Gabriele Caccia, Apostolic Nuncio to the United States. We will conclude on May 20, 2027, with our 80th Anniversary Gala.

As we celebrate 80 years of forming faith-filled gentlemen and scholars, we are equally excited about the DeMatha of today and tomorrow. We have invested in our campus and facilities, including the new Cross Center for Engineering, Arts, & Robotics and the Antler Room expansion. With a 100% college acceptance rate, our students continue to excel in academics, athletics, music, the arts, and service. Our two national music awards, Wind Ensemble and Sinfonia, eight athletic championships, three WCAC Coaches of the Year, our Nusca Scholar Program, student global experiences to China, France, Italy, and Spain, and the Road to Civil Rights summer course are evidence that our students strive for excellence. We continue to welcome outstanding faculty, staff, and coaches and introduce new opportunities for our students.

If you haven't been back to DeMatha in a while, this is the year to come home and be reminded that while DeMatha continues to grow and evolve, its heart - rooted in faith, brotherhood, and community – remains stronger than ever.
