Daily Mass will be celebrated during the interim period 10:30 a.m. in the chapel. All are welcome to spend some time in prayer every day.
NO DAILY MASS: There will be no daily mass on Monday, November 20 since both Fr. Damian and Fr. James are at a funeral at St. Jerome Church in Hyattsville.
Annual Food Drive has begun and will run through Friday, November 17th. We are raising money and food to support St. Augustine’s Parish in NW, The Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Jerome’s Cafe’ St. Mark’s Hyattsvillle, Holy Redeemer DC, and Mary House. Our goal is 11,000 cans ($1 = 1 can). If we reach our goal of 11,000 by November 17 we will get a DAY OFF on Monday, November 27 (Thanksgiving Monday). Thank you for your generosity.
Bake Sale/Sophomores, Friday, November 17th: All sophomore families are asked to donate baked homemade or store bought goods wrapped for individual sale in baggies or plastic wrap. All items sell for 50 cents. Donations should be dropped off in the cafeteria in the morning marked with the students’ name and left on the designated table. Students who donate baked goods will be entered into a drawing for 1 of 3 gift cards. Whole pies are welcomed. Thank you.

Tennis: There will be a tennis meeting in the Library at 2:55 PM on Friday, 11/17. Anyone interested in joining the tennis teams should attend.
The DeMatha Players will meet after school on Monday, November 20 in Room 326. All are welcome to discuss and practice acting skills and have a good time.
Study Abroad: There will be a meeting Monday night, November 20th at 6pm in room 139 for all students/parents who are doing the STUDY ABROAD this summer with Mrs. Karl. If you have not signed up yet and you still plan to go, you must attend the meeting if you want to be added to the group airfare (discounted rate). If you do not attend the meeting or see Mrs. Karl, you may have to buy your own airfare at a higher rate.
DPO Pie Day: The DPO Pie Day will take place on Tuesday, November 21st. All freshmen and sophomore families are asked to donate homemade or store bought pies. Please deliver your pies to the lobby of the main building before classes begin. Pie Day is an event to celebrated and show our appreciation for our DeMatha teachers, faculty and staff. Thank you for your generosity.

SGA Sponsoring No Shave November Event: The cost is $20 and you will receive a wristband good for the month of November. You MUST have your name on the list in Mr. Gardiner’s office and purchase a wrist band to take part. Proceeds will go to feeding the hungry for the Thanksgiving break.
Book of Remembrance: For the month of November, a book of remembrance will be placed on the table outside of campus ministry. All are invited to record the names of loved ones who have passed away in this book. These names will be prayed for during the daily masses in the month of November.
Gratitude Board/During the Month of November all are welcome to come to the Counseling Center to sign our Gratitude Board. Studies have shown that Expressing Gratitude daily can increase your mental health, lower depression, improve internal self-regulation and increase hope and spirituality...to name a few. Come daily if you can!
