Calendar Change: Friday, April 21, is a 12:50 p.m. dismissal. This was not on the original printed calendar. Buses will run at REGULAR times. Prince George’s Plaza Shuttle will depart DeMatha at 1:15. Waiting room will be available until 3:00 p.m.
Play Postponed/DeMatha Players: Our spring production has been postponed. The new dates and times are as follows: DeMatha Players will present A Soldier’s Story, Friday, May 19th @ 8:00 p.m., Saturday, May 20th @ 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 21st at 7:00 p.m. at the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets $5, available online, in the Stag Store or at the door. Any tickets already purchased can be used for any performance. For mature audiences only! .
Prom Tickets: Junior/Senior Prom tickets are available ONLY from the Business Office through today, Friday, April 21st by 1:00 p.m. Tickets are $70 per person. Payment by cash or check. No refunds. Formal attire is required. The prom will be held on Friday, May 5th at the College Park Marriott Hotel and Conference Center, University of Maryland, 3501 University Blvd East, Adelphi, MD 20783 from 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Check-in begins at 6:30 PM. Dinner will be served at 7:30.
Campus Ministry:Would you be interested in leading morning-prayer over the intercom at DeMatha? Do you have work study? If the answer to both of these questions is 'yes', please swing by Campus Ministry or email Mrs. Penndorf to let her know by Tuesday, April 25th. We need to start training a new person very soon!
Academic Awards Night on Wednesday, April 26 beginning at 7:30 p.m. Attendance is by invitation only.
NHS Donut Day will take place on Thursday, April 27th.
Concert Bands & PEI Concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 27 at Bladensburg High School.
Spring Uniforms:Senior privileges allow seniors to wear any polo beginning on Wednesday, April 12th. Spring uniform includes DM khaki or gray dress pants, the appropriate polo shirt, belt, socks and dress shoes. The 9th, 10th and 11th grades may go into spring uniform starting Thursday, April 27th.
Urban Plunge: The Junior Urban Plunge, a two day service immersion experience centered in the DC are, will take place from April 28-29.
Blazer Donations: Seniors and sophomores are asked to consider donating their blazer back to the school to pass on to a future student in need. Blazer donations should be turned into the Attendance Office.
DPO Tuition Raffle: Get your tickets for the $10,000 Tuition Raffle sponsored by the DPO. Tickets are $35 or 2 for $60. Drawing will be held on Wednesday, May 10, during the regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. Tickets available in the Main Office.
Senior Baby Pictures are due Friday, April 28th to Mr. Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org or hard copy to the Main Office. Hard copies will be returned.
Senior Exit Interview: Please be aware that the senior exit interview is posted on the website. Senior Exit Interview can be found under Academic/Graduation requirements. This is a requirement for graduation and is due by Thursday, May 4.
Metro & Shuttle Alert:Due to the closing of the College Park Metro Station FOR REPAIRS, effective Tuesday, April 18th, the Morning Metro Shuttle and the afternoon Metro Shuttle will be picking up and dropping off at the PRINCE GEORGE’S PLAZA Metro Station. This station is STILL on the Green line.
