TRIPLE-IMPACT COMPETITOR SCHOLARSHIPS

Hispanic Scholarship Fund

Civil Air Patrol

Provides leadership training, aviation education and disaster relief training to young men and women, ages 12 to 21.  Civil Air Patrol offers more than $200,000 in college scholarships each year, and about 10 percent of each year’s freshman class at the U.S. Air Force Academy is comprised of former CAP cadets.  Locally, meetings are held at College Park Airport but units are located all over MD, VA, and Washington, DC.  For more information email membershipdevelopment@capnhq.gov or visit http://www.gocivilairpatrol.com/.

Howard University Alumni Club of Prince George's County Scholarship

Towson University Science and Math Scholarships

Explorer Post 1275

Center of Academic Excellence at UMD-CP

The Center of Academic Excellence would like to invite all secondary students interested in pursuing a career in national security to apply for FREE Saturday seminars that will be held throughout the school year.  Our tentative plans include speakers from CIA, NSA, and other intelligence agencies, as well as a Symposium on Cybersecurity, field trips to agencies other places of interest in the intelligence field, and hands-on activities.  All of the Saturday sessions are free, and participants will be invited to our summer day camp, which is held in July.  For more information and an application, please contact Gretchen Krimmel at /academics/college_counseling/scholarships/highschool.caem@gmail.com

Catholic University of America College Waiver

Any student who plans to apply to Catholic University can receive a $55 application fee waiver. The waiver will be submitted when your transcript is sent by the counseling center so no payment should be included with the online application.

Catholic University of America Scholarship Opportunities

Cabrini Catholic High School Scholarship

Seniors graduating from a Catholic High School are eligible for a $2,000 scholarship to Cabrini College. This scholarship is non-need based, renewable for up to four years and is awarded in addition to any Cabrini College Achievement Scholarship or Grant you have received. For more information visit http://www.cabrini.edu/.

St. John's University - New Three-Year Degree Programs

St. John's University is launching new three-year accelerated degree programs for undergraduate students at the Staten Island campus, beginning in September 2011. The three-year degree program will allow graduates to enter the workforce a year earlier with a projected $29,0000 savings in tuition. To learn more about this program, contact the Office of Admission at 1 (888) 9ST JOHNS or email admission@stjohns.edu.

USDA/1890 National Scholars Program

A partnership between the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and 18 historically black universities awards scholarships annually to students pursuing a bachelor degree in agriculture, food, natural resource science, or related academic disciplines. Students must be willing to work full-time with the USDA for one year after graduation. Scholarships provide annual tuition, books, and room and board for 4 yrs. Students are required to work in the Student Education Employment Program. For more information and eligibility visit: http://www.usda.gov/1890program.xml.

ST.  EDWARD’S UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
St. Edward’s UniversityGuaranteed President’s Excellence Scholarshipprovides $15,000 per year for four years. To be eligible you must rank in the top 15% of our class and score at least a 1300 (not including the writing) on the SAT or 29 (not including the writing) on the ACT. Admission application must be postmarked by Feb 1.
